[REVIEW] 2NDESIGN Springy Peeling Gel Tone Up Boost

Peeling

Peeling gels are a popular type of cleanser or exfoliator. It is a very gentle physical scrub which usually has Acrylates and cellulose which causes particles to ball up while rubbing the gel onto the skin. These ingredients react with the oil in the face, hence the change in texture. So it is actually not all dead skin that’s peeling off. It’s mostly because of the bunch of ingredients reacting with our skin. But still, if you’re looking for a very mild physical exfoliator, peeling gels might be great for you and this 2NDESIGN Springy Peeling Gel Tone Up Boost.

Packaging
Packaging is very minimal, which I love. It comes in a tube which makes it easy to dispense.

Scent and Texture
The scent is kind of fruity. Does not bother me since it’s a wash off product. The texture is like most peeling gels.

Usage
This is a mild cellulose peeling gel that won the 2019 Glow Pick Awards in Scrub/Peeling Category. And I can definitely see why. What I love about this is while it is a physical exfoliator, it is infused with ingredients that replenishes my skin so it doesn’t leave my skin tight and dry even if it is mainly an exfoliant. It has trehalose, allantoin, centella asiatica, green tea and sea buckthorn, all of which help sooth and hydrate my skin!

It does the job of exfoliating dead skin cells, plus, it did brighten up my skin a bit (it has sea buckthorn and licorice root extract).

I was just not a fan of the scent nor am I a fan of physical exfoliators in general but overall, I say it’s a good gentle exfoliator. Simple, but does the job!
