[REVIEW] Allies of Skin 1A Retinal & Peptides Overnight Mask

Do you ever find a product that just makes your skin feel like it’s living it’s best life & feeling it’s own oats? cause the Allies of Skin 1A Retinal & Peptides Overnight Mask has done that for me! Boy she’s not cheap that’s for sure (at £105) but packs a punch! I’ve been using a Retinoid, and more specifically retinaldehyde in my routine for about 2 years now and it’s really been a winner for me! But I’ve been using this retinal product consistently in my routine for about 2 and a half months now, here’s my thoughts!

Verdict
So this contains 0.05% retinal & a 13.5% peptide complex, I wouldn’t say in general I’ve noticed much difference in my skin when consistently using peptide products in the past (but I know they’re a slow burner), but using retinal has really helped improved my skins texture and overall clearness. I’ve noticed since I’ve been using this product in particular my breakouts have also been reduced and when I do get them this really helps to speed along the healing! It really is a winner for me and I’ve been loving using it.

How do i use it?
So initially I was struggling to work this into my routine as it is like a moisturiser texture and I was using too much alongside it, so I now apply my eye cream then this (sometimes with a hydrating essence or serum first if I’m particularly dry) then about an hour later I’ll pop on my moisturiser or an oil before bed and that’s me done. Keeping it super simple has definitely helped and this feels like a good multitasker so I can skip my other serums in the evening when using this! As it’s quite moisturising on some nights I’ve just slapped this & my eye cream on and been done!

Would i repurchase?
Probably not just due to the cost, I thankfully got this one in Caroline Hirons’ Autumn Kit – but if you have the money to spare and you’re looking for a good multitasker then go for it!

Have you tried this? What are your thoughts if you have?
