REVIEW: Antipodes Baptise H2O Ultra-Hydrating Water Gel

As most of you have seen this around from many my friends talking about Antipodes Baptise H2O Ultra-Hydrating Water Gel, I myself purchase this on my own and want to see is it really good as what thy claimed? To cut it short, its nothing great like how they were made a hu ha about it but its also not a bad moisturizer to end with. This moisturizer reminds me a lot of Clinique Moisture Surge.

It’s weightless, water based, without any heaviness of oil, easily absorbed, leaves the skin with a matte finishing, feels comfortable, gives you all the water your skin needs and most importantly it hydrates well for normal to combination skin people. For dryer skin type, you may need something extra like add on oil etc to make it more emollient I guess. It has a very long ingredients list, but the keys are Hyaluronic Acid (plant based), Manuka Honey which is super good for its antibacterial properties, Kakadu plum and ginger root extract. Its fragranced and comes with a nice Rose scent. I don’t mind it at all.

Personally, I didn’t find anything wrong or get an adverse reaction while using it. Its quite enjoyable but nothing great. One thing I notice I you have to ensure the right amount to applied, if too much can make your skin feels a little uncomfortable, so try an error to see what suits your best. If you are having a simple routine, this is a good to seal it off, but I find also if you are having an extensive routine, there is when you need to adjust the amount as it may be too much for one to handle it, personally speaking.

I will not be jumping to repurchase this anytime soon unless there is a good deal.
