The Clarifying Cherry Face Wash by Apothe.Co has been formulated for normal or combination skin types by adding Tibetan Apricot to provide a gentle exfoliation. Headlines: A gentle second or morning cleanse on wet skin. Non-stripping and a good price point for an ethically sourced and sustainable skincare brand.
The Good: I’ve found this super gentle. It has more of a light cream/ lotion texture and is non-foaming. I hate foaming washes (with very few exceptions). I like to take this off with a cloth and afterwards my skin feels gently cleansed. So no super tight Joan Rivers face. Win. For those who care, there’s no fragrance ( I kinda like a fragrance) but I always put this in the good column because it’s non-offensive. There’s no tingle for a gentle exfoliant, so I think this would suit sensitive skin, but always check the inci list if there are any particular enemies of your skin.
The Bad: I feel the pump is better suited to a serum as it dispenses about 1/3 of what I’d use to cleanse my face. Not a deal breaker but still a bit of a pain.
The Ugly Truth: Would I purchase? Yes, I probably would. I’m not usually one for cream cleansers but this has been really pleasant to use and the beautiful packaging would make it a lovely gift. Mother’s Day is coming, guys!
