[REVIEW] Fenty Skin Flash Nap Instant Revival Eye Gel-Cream

Needy baby? Pre exam cram sesh? More fun extracurricular activities? Sometimes an all nighter is a necessity but my problem is that I look like a sack of potatoes in the morning. While a nap is usually the cure, it’s not always possible. Enter Flash Nap Instant Revival Eye Gel-Cream by Fenty Skin.

Designed to give your eyes the revival of 40 winks, this gel cream contains horse chestnut and hyaluronic acid to plump and depuff, and Persian Silk Tree and Green Tea extracts to boost long term reduction of dark circles and oxidative damage. I’ve been using this for 3 weeks and wanted to share some initial thoughts. Headlines: Super cooling, brilliant under makeup, the tool is an absolute blinder and well worth the money on its own. Deserving for anyone with sleep deprived eyes.

The Good: The gel texture sinks in beautifully. I didn’t notice an immediate effect but 5 mins later, the eye area is flooded with a delightful cooling sensation which lasts a good 15-20 minutes. A great primer for makeup.

The tool is bloody fantastic. I use 3 pin sized drops under each eye and use the tool to roll the product under and over the eye. No dragging and no discernible excess left on the metal. Product disappears into the skin like magic. It’s well designed, ergonomically, fits in my fingers easily and comfortably.

The Bad: I haven’t seen a noticeable effect on dark circles. Perhaps I need to give it the full 6 weeks or it may just be the limit of what I can do with product.

The Ugly Truth: This is tricky. It’s a no but only just because I think it no longer suits my lifestyle.

I think this would be super to have in your arsenal if I were regularly losing sleep but to be honest, I’m not sure I have a place for it in my regular routine right now. The tool is absolutely brilliant but, well, I have it now. Don’t need another.

Anyone else tried this little fella? I got these from BootsUK for £28 for the set.
