NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum 2:1 has a very thin watery consistency, that sinks into my skin seconds after application. Its iconic blue color comes from 1% of pure GHK-Cu peptides, that NIOD claims to have a positive effect on collagen synthesis and skin’s anti-inflammatory responses. In addition, it’s loaded with several other peptides and Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer. I use it AM/PM, after cleansing and after a few spritzes of a mist (e.g. NIODs SDSM). I find the formula very hydrating when used this way.
Packaging: this comes in two separate vials out of the box – one contains the copper ions and the other one the rest of the formula. You pour the contents of the latter in the former and shake to get a freshly made serum. I think I received a bad batch of the serum once, since I couldn’t fully dissolve the copper crystals into the solvent. I contacted Deciem exceptional costumer service and they sent me a new box right away, with no need for me to return the defective product.
Personal results: This is my 3rd or 4th bottle and I can safely say this is one of the most transformative skincare products I’ve ever used. About a week or two after applying it consistently, I notice a reduction of signs of inflammation (i.e. redness and acne), a refinement of skin texture, and my skin looks healthier overall. I always rely on this serum when my skin is acting up, and I always notice a difference after I’ve stoped using it.
Price and accessibility: the 30 mL bottle costs 72€, which comes out at a pricey (but worth it) 2.40€/mL. I buy it from Deciem’s website, which offers free shipping for orders above 25€ and a great 365-day return period, valid even for used products.
Would repurchase: Yes!
