[REVIEW] The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HAMoisturiser
I bought The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA towards the end of April as I was desperate to try something from The Ordinary. Here’s what I think about it. This moisturiser contains Hyaluronic Acid (our absolute fave!! If you don’t know, get to know, your skin will thank you) which helps to hydrate the skin and enhance the skin’s moisture content, helping it become softer, supple and appear more plump. Natural Moisturising Factors (NMF) are elements made up of amino acids, fatty acids, ceramides, hyaluronic acid (among many other compounds) which are found naturally in the skin. These compounds keep the outer layer of skin (the epidermis) protected and hydrated. So basically, the ingredients in this moisturiser help the natural elements in your skin to provide hydration (perfect for those with dehydrated skin!).
When I first bought this, I used it day and night for about 2 weeks. Personally, I found it wasn’t hydrating/moisturising enough for daytime, so I’ve stuck to using it in the PM only. It soaks into my skin really well, and it isn’t greasy. I do think this moisturiser has contributed to my skin feeling softer and smoother. I don’t have to use my GlamGlow thirsty mud mask very often for a hydration boost either, so this product is definitely doing something for my skin! The texture is lovely, it is quite thick, however it isn’t at all heavy on the skin, so it’s an absolute dream to use!
There is a very slight scent but there’s no added fragrance so it shouldn’t be too harsh for those of you who don’t like/can’t have fragrance in your skincare. This moisturiser is an absolute bargain too! A 30ml bottle is £4.90 (great for testing it out). I went for the 100ml by accident but I’m glad I did.
At first, I was unsure about this product. It didn’t appear to be doing much, however with continued use I have noticed a change in my skin (especially hydration wise!). The Ordinary is cruelty free and so affordable – I would recommend this to everyone (especially people with dehydrated skin!).
