[REVIEW] VEGREEN Fragrance-free Nature Mucin Serum

If you’re not a fan of snail mucin, I’ve got just the product for you. I’m reviewing the VEGREEN Fragrance-free Nature Mucin Serum today.

ingredients: Wild yam Root Extract, Panthenol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Arginine, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Copper Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-4, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-7, Centella Leaf Water, Ceramide NP.

Texture: unlike snail mucin, this yam mucin doesn’t have that stringy texture. It has a slight gel like texture that melts into a liquid upon application. It absorbs very quickly and leaves almost no finish at all. Not oily, greasy or sticky.

My opinion: this was a lovely serum that brought no surprises. It was hydrating, slightly skin plumping and never irritated the skin. I was initially a little scared cos I’m actually allergic to yams. but thankfully it’s been nothing but pleasant so far.

Pros:
1. Very hydrating
2. Sensitive skin friendly
3. Amazing ingredients list
4. Affordable

Cons:
No special results/ no frills

I can’t say this had a special X factor. It was just a no frill hydrating product, but I didn’t notice any other effect beyond that. But that’s a good and a bad thing. This contained peptides but since they require long term use, I didn’t notice any anti-aging (lmao I’m definitely not the right person to judge this) or elasticity improvements just yet.

Will I purchase? No. Although I enjoyed the hydration, I’ve come to expect multiple benefits from my products. That’s just my personal preference. Not a bad product by any means. At USD15 for 50ml, this is pretty affordable too

Recommended for: All skin types that are sensitive. I think most skin types would get along with this product as it neither too heavy nor too light. Perhaps unless you’re allergic to yams. Sensitive skin types can be assure this is fragrance/ EO and drying alcohol free.
